KOL Israel - Middle East Dispatch - 12/06/98 Israeli sources have expressed anger over the way that the visit of President Clinton to Israel and the Palestinian Authority is shaping up. The sources charge that the U.S. is making every effort to minimize the presidents visit to Israel, and give greater importance to the visit to the Palestinian Authority in order to give indirect recognition to a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capitol. The sources also criticize the plans for Clinton to arrive in Israel next Saturday at midnight as this will limit the amount of coverage of the event. They add that the Americans have also changed their plans and President Clinton now plans to land by helicopter or by plane at the Palestinian airport at Dahania. This despite Israel's objections.
