Thanks., here is another answer to my question..,

Mr. Tromp

In response to your question - yes Archean dates have been determined from rocks within the Wellington Inlier. Zircons extracted from a porphyritic syenogranite give a date of 2601+/- 3 Ma and the authors of the paper suggest that this may represent a northern extension of the Slave Province. The reference is as follows

LeCheminant, A.N., Rainbird, R.H., and Villeneuve, M.E. 1996. Precambrian geology of northern Wellington Inlier, Victoria Island, Northwest Territories. IN Current Research 1996-C, Geological Survey of Canada, p1-10.

I hope that this response is helpful, if you have further inquires please e-mail.

Sincerely
