With regard to South Carolina dropping the case. The state attorney general outlined his major reasons for dropping the case. We should write our own attorneys general from the remaining 19 states to assist them in arriving at the same conclusion.

I'm going to use many of the same arguments outlined by the South Carolina A.G. As was stated earlier, the attorneys general are particularly vulnerable to public opinion. Clearly the AOL-Netscape timing is perfect for sending email that makes clear our concern with government intervention in the technology marketplace.

As stated by the South Carolina Attorney General, the Aol-Netscape merger demonstrates that there is no monopoly in the internet space. Let's try and influence the outcome.
