Deja Vu. Went on for over 5 hours yesterday with only 4 trades in that time period out of the 18 - 18 1/8 band. This is not a naturally occuring phenomenon. If no one would buy any february or march options on S3, you would see a more natural movement in this stock. S3 seems to be a favorite stock to play with. For several months, i believe november and december at least, S3 had a 1 point or so spread almost every day. Players would buy it at the low and within 24 hours would sell for a dollar a share gain. Then the stock would go down a point and it would start all over again. By watching the intra day charts you can see patterns form on S3 quite frequently. The last 2 days have obviously been some kind of pattern. I will not say that it is the marketmakers keeping it down to ruin call options expiration. You can make that decision yourself. There are a few on this thread that will attribute it to paranoia and conspiracy. But nothing like that ever goes on in the stock market or when dealing with brokers. Right. But it sure looks unnatural when you watch the charts. Just seems a little impossible that the stock cannot move out of that band. And my favorite saying about paranoia: Just because you are paranoid, doesn't meant that they are not out to get you.
