From Briefing.com: Ascend (ASND +6 7/8) 63 15/16: Company led all networkers, moving considerably higher-- 12.05% to be exact-- on better than average volume and on no significant corporate news... Stock surged nearly 5 points in the last hour-and-a-half of trading before finishing just off its highs for the day... Potential takeover, short covering, and the possibility of a stock split among the cited factors for the stock's big gain. Normally a lurker, but I had to say something!
