Well, Gauguin, all I can say is that if you asked my husband, my father, my brother, my brothers-in-law, my former partner, etc., litigators on the other side of cases, judges, bailiffs, etc., whether they thought testosterone made me more aggressive, I predict you'd get raucous, disbelieving laughter that you failed to see the obvious.

I fear losing my "edge."

In a way, it's like fearing losing my sanity. I didn't play with dolls, I didn't have a Barbie, there isn't a ribbon, bow or furbelow to me. Before I got sick, I could bench press 120, lat pull down 145, leg press 350. I could do all kinds of things around the house, put up sheetrock, fix leaky or jammed plumbing, refinish hardwood floors, build bookcases, do brake jobs, repair wiring harnesses.

I am afraid of no-one that I meet in my day-to-day world, I don't care if you are a judge, a politician, a corporate hot-shot, or whatever, it doesn't faze me, I can handle it.

Now, I am not only physically ill, I am contemplating losing my machismo. I guess we all get here, I just didn't expect it to be so soon, and I am not handling it well.
