Did Hypermart really sign up 3717 new businesses last week? On Tuesday, December 1 at 12:27 a.m., Hypermart had 112,143 "members-to-date", according to the counter on the Go2Net home page. One week later (Tuesday, December 8 at 12:34 a.m.), there were 115,860, for an increase of 3717. That's either 743 per day, if you're only counting Monday-Friday, or 531 per day, if you count the weekend. Either way, it beats the 400-per-day figure recently promoted by GNET. Can anyone confirm these numbers? How are they generated? Are inactive accounts ever deleted?
