Eve, I, also tried AOL's one month free access trial. Never had difficulty getting connected but decided to go the cable modem route. When I called AOL to cancel the trial membership, they extended it for two more months. If my cable company is down, I use AOL and I'm online in minutes. That's some of the reasons I decided to buy the stock. mrc
