Jim Marks: As a shareholder of any company, you should be interested in the manner in which a paid promoter receives compensation. For example, if a promoter receives freely tradable stock, a positive price reaction to the promoter's comments may be dampened by the promoter selling those shares. Therefore, the long run effect on the price of the stock may be negligible. I do agree that the overall exposure may be beneficial in raising interest in the company.
