LA JOLLA, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Dec. 8, 1998--La Jolla
Diagnostics Inc. (OTC BB:LAJD), announced today that it plans to
launch its Living Water Eye Lotions(TM), Feverfew Nasal Mist(TM), and
MigraSpray(TM)(with feverfew) through certain international
distributors.
These products are prepared using water processed by a patented
technology (U.S. Patent 5711950) to form ClusterWater(TM). While
remaining chemically identical with unprocessed water, ClusterWater
forms polywater complexes which enhance the effectiveness of
biological solutions.
Living Water Eye Lotion(TM), is a saline solution which cleanses
and soothes the eye to help relieve irritation, burning, stinging, and
itching without interfering with natural functions. The product, in
addition to being extremely well received domestically by a wide variety
of patients, has been recently used overseas under severe conditions
by victims of Hurricane Georges, and the volcano on Montserat.
Feverfew Nasal Mist(TM), is a patent pending moisturizing nasal
spray, and MigraSpray(TM) is a nutraceutical containing the herb
feverfew, designed to be sprayed under the tongue.
Feverfew is the common name for Tanacetum Parthenium, a
daiseylike flowering plant whose leaves have been used for centuries
in herbal remedies for the treatment of various conditions including
migraine headaches.
Recent research has found feverfew useful in relieving the
symptoms of migraines where other treatments have failed. It is
believed the chemical pathenolide found in feverfew retards the
release of inflammatory blood substances which affect the cerebral
blood vessels causing them to swell.
La Jolla Diagnostics is an emerging company engaged in the
development and marketing of health care products, nutraceuticals, and
state-of-the-art diagnostic tests (including proprietary tests for
active tuberculosis and HIV) through its subsidiary DiagnosTech Inc.
