Soft Image, the company AVID bought from MSFT, has moved from 2d/3d graphics....... go2net.newsalert.com In addition, version 2.1 now supports 16:9 anamorphic media, demonstrating Softimage's commitment to developing DTV and HDTV applications that will enable customers to create digital content for this increasingly popular medium. The Intergraph machine only seems to deal with uncompressed video and only can store 1 hr. They could really use the DVx. Going to open a very small position in AVID soon.
