Gregg:

Do you believe the ERICY "holds sufficient IPR to force QC to horse-trade on 3G"?

Re: DoCoMo--Was it their intention to take their 16.67 million(Jan. 98) PDC subscribers directly to W-CDMA when it became available? Their web site touts the data abilities of their system(max 28.8 kbps) at this time. They would appear to be waiting a long time for W-CDMA while IDO/DDI evolves into significantly higher data rates right before their eyes(and their customers' eyes). In light of these facts, is it plausible that DoCoMo goes IS-95? How reasonable is that possibility?

My take on the ITU piece is simple. It is like a mother telling her boys to play nice or we are not going to the movies. QCOM and ERICY, get together and solve your differences or you're both SOL. How would they solve their differences? Converge, or be converged!
