opalapril, I fully support the concept of a change in domicile, for any corporation in a similar situation where foreign earning might become a significant part of the whole. This is a compelling concept.
I do not see the corporation escaping from tax on U.S. earnings.

But, I have said and continue to say read the prospectus on any issue. For me it answered the major question, which was, "Why don't the big corporations do this?" Now I realize that their asset value makes it impossible." Yet I see that Amgen established three subsidiaries in Bermuda. does this make them an evil company? Not in my book. We have seen a new issue, up close an personal. It caused you some discomfort. I can only say think about the issue and prepare yourself to see this concept used again and again. If it produces short term weakness due to misunderstanding it might provide opportunities.
