ANY WAY YOU LOOK AT AOL...IT IS THE END WINNER
James, I'm not sure I would go that far.

Regardless of the trend to increased bandwidth, through cable modems, AOL's top & bottom lines WILL grow tremendously over the next 18-24 months.

Maybe, but it's hard to predict further than 6-12 months, the way the technology keeps evolving. I like what I have seen about AOL and DSL access, but am not too excited about AOL-TV because of the need to buy a box. I'm not sure there will be a clear winning technology over the next few years, but high speed DSL and cable should increase a lot.

As far as cable, the problem for AOL is that ATHM can provide bandwidth + content, and if they get their subscriber base up, could give AOL a run for their money. I don't think many people subscribe to AOL for their content, it is more of a brand recognition, easy setup, and friends/relatives for email and chat.
