Unless the demographics change drastically we would still be counting on a
dwindling supply of younger people to fuel the growth. Looks like we'd better have
6 to 7 kids each ! Another possibility would to increase emigration from other
countries with younger populations.
(ready to learn chinese ?)

Personally, I'd sign away all rights to the money I have to date contributed to social
security if I would be allowed to invest the future amounts as I see fit. Oddly
enough, congress doesn't feel that we poor fools know how to invest ! I don't hold
much hope for SS funds being invested in stocks for a while, they'll need to "study"
the matter for a few more years.

Since there are no funds from SS in the market now, it will take some period of time to invest some percentage. Given the "study" time necessary, I believe that it is possible that these flows will still be coming in as the others are going out.
