RESEARCH ALERT-Lehman raises Sepracor targets
Tuesday December 8, 10:27 am Eastern Time

NEW YORK, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Lehman Brothers analyst Rich
Silver on Tuesday said he raised his price target for shares of
Sepracor Corp. (Nasdaq:SEPR - news) to $112 from $75

-- shares up 7/8 to 85-3/4.

-- ''They have had a series of deals this year and news flow that validates what this company does,'' said analyst Rich Silver in a brief telephone interview.

-- On Monday, the Marlborough, Mass. company won a deal to develop a molecularly altered version of Prozac, Eli Lilly & Co. Inc.'s (NYSE:LLY - news) blockbuster antidepressant.

-- Silver said the contract means less risk for Sepracor overall, plus it should add to its revenues.

-- ''They also have a number of milestones coming up in 1999 to support the run-up in the stock,''
he said.

-- Silver said the stock might see a near-term pause. ''The stock has moved up so much it may need to rest a bit,'' he said.
