We're spending 9,000 to 11,000 dollars per pupil. Countries with much higher teacher-pupil ratio are doing a better job. The point was that they want increased spending and employment which is not quite different from people who want to collect welfare and government benefits. Both groups stand to collect more in benefits than they would pay in increased taxes.
