Ralph;

Nice to take a break from today's water torture.

There are differences between Revision "A" and "B", but none of them are critical to daily use, but you should be aware of them:

1) Beside 6 megs of VRAM. the "B" has the Rage *Pro* graphics chip vs. the slower Rage IIc in the "A". It's not a big deal -- unless your daughters are big on games, in which case, stop here and insist on the "B".

2) "B" ships with 8.5 installed, "A" comes with 8.1 and 8.5 is a $20 upgrade.

3) "B" includes Adobe Pagemill, a website creation package.

4) "B" has a normal keyboard restart vs. a paperclip procedure on "A".

If your vendor will install the 6 megs and give you a complimentary 8.5 CD, then they are fairly equivalent units. The margin on these is not that high, so don't expect him to mark things down too much.

Anything else, send it private. Cheers.
