Slider: Just thinking out loud here, but my take on the oil situation is that OPEC's kingpins have concluded that they cannot effectively prop up prices without much stronger support from big non-OPEC producers and better compliance within OPEC itself.

Once the "free riders" -- both within and outside OPEC -- are brought to heel, we will be amazed at how fast oil prices rebound. Probably not too far off IMHO. And if demand starts to climb again as well -- so much the better.
