There may be an explanation why Anand found that the K6-2 got poor scores on Winstone 99. The problem may have been due to the south bridge in the VIA chipset for the K6-2. Check out www.anandtech.com for the full explanation.

This potentially makes the K6-2 look much better against the Pentium II, especially with the new CXT core. So much for the Intel Winstone 99 conspiracy theory.
