G'day all - dear Clark, while I agree the *old boy network* [or dare I say, a blatant form of cronyism] is quite an abomination [unfortunately alive and well!] I think it is important to measure the moves with proper time scale.] Remember the chip war of the 70s that led INTC to withdraw from the DRAM market? Most of us may not want a Hyundai automobile, but the chip fabs [their production and QA/QC equipments included] are made by some of the finest shops like AMAT etc. The scary thing is that the Koreans may have the last laugh if many of our computers are powered by their DRAMs! Maybe that is why MU is riding high even though the chip market has not totally turned around.

best, Bosco [who has been caught drinking thunderbird in the back alley and kept mumbling something like "brother, can you spare a mercedes benz <vbg>?"]
