BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 1998--Arete Industries
Inc. (OTC BB:AREE) Chief Executive Officer Thomas P. Raabe Tuesday
announced that, as part of the company's overall plan to become a
leader and innovator in the extreme and outdoor sports industry, its
subsidiary, Aggression Sports Inc., has signed a management and
product development agreement with Lowe Brothers Design, LLC.
Initially, Lowe Brothers Design (Mike, Jeff and Greg Lowe) will
design, build and market a line of leading-edge, high-end backpack
systems for introduction at the Outdoor Retailer Trade Show to be held
in Salt Lake City at the end of January 1999.
Mike Lowe will become Senior Executive Manager of Aggression
Sports, in charge of product design, production management and
marketing.
Raabe stated: "We are excited to be associated with such
internationally renowned mountaineers and alpinists who have been so
influential in the development of the outdoor sports equipment
industry."
Raabe noted that the Lowe brothers founded Lowe Alpine Systems
