I am not sure I would take on the task of defining respect with regards to our conversation, but it seems Jesus found more respect with sinners than he did with the very people that knew the law the best. We ourselves, as Christians are not going to be respected for our positions a lot of the time, but I am starting to contend(I say starting because I am sure you or I could go back to some of my old posts and not see respect from me) that our positions must be that of "love the sinner, hate the sin" Any less would not be "of Christ". Remembering always that everything I say, I am (whether I like it or not) judging myself by that standard. dan
