Yes, I just saw that. They were discussing AOL's NetChannel acquisition and the merging of TV and internet. I remain skeptical, though, about any service that requires the use of an additional box and is bound to 525-line TV resolution. Web TV only has 500,000 subscribers after three years. Wavephore has not done much, even with Microsoft adding it to its Windows 98. Of course, AOL already has the subscribers, so who knows? I think eventually HDTV, the internet, and wideband will converge, and maybe AOL just wants their foot in the door in the same way that Microsoft has MSNBC, which is a loss leader. It gets curiouser and curiouser...
