enigma;

<<What, are we talking about absolutes? Bunkum I say - let's not take ourselves too seriously here - I was talking about the market - not making pronouncements from the ivory towers of academie. There's been a touch of pomposity from L. recently. Lighten up -g -E . >>

Funny you rebuke "pronouncements from the ivory towers" inasmuch as there hasn't been one. What actually happened is that Lawrence supplied a mild rebuke (in the form of an editorial yawn) when you asked the following about Fleckenstein) which you complained about in more then one post.

<<why do we have to assume he is actually short - I've noticed this assumption on another thread - possibly from you? >>

Then he simply went on to feed you Fleck's direct quote in which he acknowledges he has been short.Then you tell me to lighten up. I think that is exactly what I was suggesting to you. Come on man. Admit it. You took a shot and got it back in spades. So take a graceful bow and try again when you have a better base. It seems petty to complain about it to others three or four posts later. If you are somehow in need of an ego massage go to the link I gave you where folks like "starshine" and "bambi" can tell you how right you are all the time. By the way. The *yawn* from Lawrence really is mild for him. I think he likes you.

Is Lawrence pompous? I guess to some he seems so. I find him combative, razor sharp, bitingly critical, and imminently readable. besides, can't really hurt us right? No one knows who we are. Kind of hard to take ourselves too seriously when we use nickjnames like stitch and enigma. But then I am not here to feel good. I'd rather learn something.

Best,
Stitch
