David,

No apology necessary. I was just saying that it would not make sense to pull my money out now because I don't think it is that bad yet. Secondly, even if I wanted to pull my money out, I would have to sell some other stock to offset the losses, and well, it was not worth it. For myself, this is the risk part of my portfolio, so I have a higher tolerance for uncertainty here. I will grant you there is uncertainty with NRI, but I don't think it rises to the level of severe uncertainty, which would cause me to sell. I think the difference lies in the perception of the phrase "lashed to the mast." As I have stated earlier, I am a believer in NRI, but I am not a blind follower. The difference: I know NRI has problems and I am reasonably certain they can handle them based on, among other things, past experience (this is not the first time NRI has needed financing); as opposed to someone who may think that NRI has no problems and is going to do well regardless. I would consider the latter "tied to the mast" and the former what I am; a shareholder who thinks his stock is ok. Granted the line is not that bright, but I think a reasonable man could tell the difference. I am fairly certain that I can. I apologize for not being clearer in my earlier post.

I challenge you to find anyone who reads this thread and thinks that NRI is the greatest company in the world. Everyone knows it has problems, and I don't think this thread has been a hype-machine. So while contrarian viewpoints are always welcome, let's not pretend that by posting, one can "save" people from NRI. For three reasons, first of all I believe that reasonable people make should their own decisions on investing independent of what they read on threads such as this, secondly there are few if any posters (and by inference readers) at all, and finally, no one here is screaming buy NRI. No offense intended, mind you. These are just my opinions.

Regards,
Bob
