HOWEVER, Savage at 0.25um is roughly competing w/TNT, G200,
Banshee, all at 0.35um. So while others go to 0.25um now, Savage going
to 0.18um is a wash.


Given that what you're saying is that the Savage @0.25 performs(speed and quality) no better than TNT, G200, and Banshee @0.35, is it your contention that because the latter products are dropping .10um and Savage only .07um, they will be as good or better?

I guess another way is to ask, Is the effects of the drop in um linear?
