Refurb monitor update & the payoff for patience

Since the refurbed Viewsonic 815s are still no where to be found I cast a wider net and came up with a *new* Cornerstone 50/101sf 21'' with a badly cracked bezel. Its last years flagship model reviewed extremely well for text and spreadsheet work. The folks at High Point America are replacing the bezel and testing the monitor functions. Since this monitor was never sold (damage occurred during factory to vendor shipping) I'll be the proud owner of a new 3 yr warranty from Cornerstone.
We're dickering on the price around $800 on a monitor that last year was twice that amount when it was new. I almost bought it for even less as is until one nice salesperson went and looked at the actual damage which apparently is at multiple points on the bezel with small piece of plastic actually chipped off.
Any concerns about internal damage should become apparent during their testing then they have a 15 day RMA policy so I should be alright.... right?...... gulp...<gg>
