Skeeter,

<why did dell cut their corp pcs 11%?>

Come on Skeeter, I consider you generally more credible than to make these type of shallow intentionally misleading insinuations. You know very well that PC prices are ALWAYS on the decline. It's almost like clock work and has been happening since the beginning of the PC era. Despite years of price declines, last quarters margins were excellent for most boxmakers. PC prices have declined sharply even during periods of record sales growth. These price cuts are aimed at gaining/maintaining market share and are usually offset or even more than offset by decreasing costs.

I think you've been listening to MB too long. BTW, the same sources which told me (before Intel issued their press release) that Q4 was sold out, also told me that Q1 is 90% sold out and that Xeon in sold out as far as they can see. In fact, Q1 is expected to be stronger than Q4 (for INTC) despite the fact that Q4 includes the Christmas season (you know those "Christmas lies" <ggg>). If this really (i.e. Q1 tops Q4) happens it will be remarkable given that Q4 is going to set all time records for both revenue and earnings.

Good luck,

FF
