The list I threw together was just to get an idea of how well an index like this could do. These are not my definitive picks so I will not put reasons next to it. I calculated that if you put $100,000 in these 10 picks equally weighted on January 2nd 1998, you would have as of today $310,098.17 cents. A 310% return in one year would make a fund manager cry!! Compound returns like that over 10 years and it borders absurdity. I did not include AOL or Netscape in the list because of the merger and I already own a considerable position of AOL. Not in order of importance 1. Yahoo 2. Amazon 3. @home 4. Aware 5. GNET 6. Network Associates 7. Cisco 8. 3 Coms 9. Network Solutions 10. Sun Microsystems
