I can answer #7: "Why are there no AGP Banshee cards out there?"

There are AGP Banshee cards out there. I've seen AGP versions of the Diamond Monster Fusion and Guillemot Phoenix in local retailers (CompUSA and Best Buy, respectively).

I remember the Phoenix distinctly because I was trying to convince a friend who wants to upgrade his 2D to buy one. However, I noticed that it wouldn't work for him since it was AGP and he only has PCI in his machine.

I also remember the Fusion because I was comparing two boxes and noticed that one had MPEG-2 support and the the other didn't.
