Poet and all,

Poet asked Triffin about a buy stop. I think I can answer. Please correct me if I'm wrong Triffin. Hope its OK for me to answer.

If you want to buy a stock but want to buy only if the stock is on the way up, place a buy stop at an amount higher than the price. That way, if the stocks drops, you won't have bought at market and then take a loss. I think this is momentum play technique. At least I read about in Jeff Cooper's 5-Day Momentum Method. He buys at, I think, a 1/4 increase from last days hi and places a sell stop at same below last days low. I can check in his book tomorrow if anyone wants specifics.

Don't forget stops-MMK
