Labman, In all honesty I cannot comment on the opening and Closing prices (OK I'll say opens over $3 and closes under $10 <ggg>). I haven't really followed this play all that much. I've traded it over the last month or so. I own a pile of ABX and will say this that Carrington and Oliphant always shot low. If the first offer was $4 1/4 Cdn, than this play is worth $8 plus cdn with the current info that ABX has. Lundin and ARP might settle for $6 plus. ABX will not be out done by Newmont. Newmont might offer $6 on a wim. The wild card in all this might be someone like Placer coming in with a $10 cdn offer. This is a great sign for the Junior market. fIXER
