Your post brought back too many good and bad memories.
....Hislop Township, Larder Lake mining division, Ontario.....
I arrived in Larder Lake on May 15th, 1957 and went to work for Kerr Addison Gold Mines in Virginia Town on May 16, 1957. In those days there were many gold mines and the times were really interesting, but like many things in life, the industry went down from there. The memories, the times, the attitudes nevertheless, were more than memorable.
When you're young it doesn't matter, my next move was to Toronto to work for AVRO on the CF105 "Arrow" program, well the whole world knows what happened then.
Apart from Mining and Aviation companies I invest in other things, the other things have made all the money, the first two are a part of oneself, like a love or affection that will never quite leave you.
Anyway, as they say, thanks for the memory
