Very well said, lws. All successes, big and small, should indeed be savored by each and every one of us. I think it was Tom Peters who said that we should learn to enjoy the little victories along the road in life in order to be able to fully appreciate the big victories when they come along.
Gvander, Ze'ev, Darkgreen, and others did their best to warn us out of Valence, it's true. But it is impossible to know what anyone's motives really are on these threads! And when it comes to Valence in particular, let's face it, it's all complete speculation anyway. People talk of future production numbers, candlestick studies, Bollinger bands, and all sorts of other ways and means to assess this stock. Ultimately, however--after all possible DD is exhausted--it's really a simple matter of having faith in VLNC, or not.
What the events of the past couple weeks underscore are simply that no one can accurately predict *anything* about a company that has no sales, no customers, impending deadlines, and very finite resources. So to those who are happy about the recent VLNC thrashings: indeed, enjoy. You did your naysaying service to us very well (and presumably pocketed some cash even).
As for me, I'm keeping the faith. I still believe that the analysts saw, as Lev told us they would, "a real company here." In other words, I believe Valence is making great batteries, and I believe there will be large customers for those batteries. Very soon even. And I also fully acknowledge that I could be wrong. We pays our monies and we takes our chances--that's the game. But the game isn't over, that's for sure! HQ |
