I'm familiar with the Dames & Moore report and view it as a helpful step. Without some information on the specifics of the test procedures being used, however, I'm not able to judge the merits in any definitive way. The report speaks of custom fluxing and I'd like to know what that means. The interesting part is that in all probability there is more gold there than they are reporting. I believe the recently reported results are in fact conservative regarding total gold values. The flip side is that there are serious problems with recovery and the cost to treat this material will be much higher than we have grown accustomed to with most large open pit mines today. I personally believe there is a mine there. It may be one of the premier deposits of the world, but the normal rules of thumb for evaluating a property are probably not valid. It could be a rocky road from here to a successful operation, though they should have enough cash to do a proper evaluation.
