First, a newswire, then my questions .....

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Alydaar Software Corporation (Nasdaq: ALYD - news) today announced that the State of Geneva, Switzerland, has awarded it a contract to provide Year 2000 remediation services. Working with its Swiss Business Partner ETV Software Engineering on the assignment, Alydaar will help test and fix various components of the government's software infrastructure.

The State of Geneva (http://www.geneve.ch) is one of the largest Cantons in Switzerland and has in excess of 30 million lines of computer code to remediate. The allocated budget for the Y2K projects is CHF 30,000,000 (approximately US$20,000,000).

[snip]

ETV Software Engineering is one of Alydaar's authorized distributors in Europe and acts as a representative of Alydaar in Switzerland. For the State of Geneva project, ETV Software Engineering will acts as the project manager on behalf of Alydaar, for all of the testing and remediation work.

''We chose to work with Alydaar in the Year 2000 marketplace because of the industry-leading qualities of their SmartCode solution -- speed, quality and cost-effectiveness,'' said Gerald C. Levine, Managing Director of ETV Software Engineering. ''We look forward to working with them on this and future contracts.''

Q1: Does Forecross have authorized distributors in Europe? If so, who? and what have they done lately?

Q2: I thought speed, quality and cost-effectiveness was supposed to be Forecross' high points. If so, why didn't ETV hook up with Forecross?

Q3: Didn't Forecross contract to pay $1/4 M to some agency supposedly helping finding customers. Any results from that?

Q4: While visiting the Paine-Webber office in NYC, I asked the IT manager (a relative of mine) which firms he considered for Y2K services. Forecross was not on his list. I asked why. He never heard of them. If FRXX doesn't get the word out, who will bother seeking their help? It's one thing to have the fastest Y2K service in town, but that had no effect on Paine-Webber's awareness. Who is responsible for Forecross' exposure to the market? What's being done to remedy this situation?
