Wizzer... Sorry to burst you bubble but I have used Webbroker through both a cable and a T1 connection and it is still slow. Although a faster modem may speed up your transaction a little, most of the waiting time is the result of their servers.

After two weeks of waiting I finally got my E-trade account password today. I'm crossing my fingers that transaction times come down a little. Even if the times don't come down, E-trade still have a superior price structure compared to Webbroker.

For anyone interested in opening a E-trade account it is very easy. Go to their website..Fill out one form...Mail it in...Password in a couple of weeks. You can put money into the account by doing a bill payment in Webbanker (TD-Bank) or by spending them a check. However I wouldn't suggest transfering securities between brokers unless you want to fill out extra paper work and wait several weeks to months.

Best Regards
KEITH
