I like the idea, but wonder if I want to trust my back ups in the hands of another company. I'm not really much to believe anyone really cares what little Mark Oliver does and thereby protect myself in the anonimity of the herd, but still it makes you wonder if you'd back up your personal and business secrets on a web site.

I think, not. But that's me. People have used service bureaus to handle computing needs since the beginning.

The whole internet side of many companies like Compaq are not really factored in. Look at Alta Vista, and what other online projects they may have. Interesting to see delivery companies like FedX and Airborne and getting upped because they deliver all the e-commerce goods.

I see AT&T as an interesting internet company. I worked for them in 85 and was impressed at how completly incompetent they seemed to be, but it looks like they've come under some interesting leadership with Michael Armstrong. The TCI deal was a stroke of genius. Armstrong is really in a global position now and as a traveler I can see the power of having a network like this. "Bandwidth is the key" and that's music to my ears.

Regards,

Mark
