More ATI news:

voodooextreme.com

The framerates in the article are with vsync off. Voodoo2 is faster in lower resolutions, but the scores are very respectable and take no hit in 32-bit. V2 SLI beats the Rage 128 in framerate, so the V3 should have the performance advantage, but not the features advantage. Note that the scores posted are from ATI and may be suspect.

As I've said before, ATI is a strong competitor. I think the V3 chip will mean more OEM wins and squeeze nVidia even more. ATI may be able to protect their market share a while longer with their new chip. It is late to market and will not be a significant player in Xmas sales.
