One last taxing question

Do y'all have something comparable to Social Security and a tax associated with that as well..or is this all accounted for in the Federal tax.

Down here in the States, the first $65,000 or so of income is taxed at approx. 7% fixed flat rate.

Doesn't make a difference whether you make $45,000 or $65,000,000..you still only pay on the first $65,000.

Very regressive to say the least.

Also down here in the States Cap Gains are partly contingent on the length of the investment and are taxed at lower rates than Federal Income rates if held over a year....The whole tax structure keeps CPA's very VERY gainfully employed
