Kookaburra Resources Ltd - Bellevue No. 1 fire out Kookaburra Resources Ltd KOB Shares issued 15,388,036 1998-12-08 close $1.78 Wednesday Dec 9 1998 See Elk Point Resources Inc (ELK) News Release Mr. Aidan Walsh reports During the afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, the fire which had been burning from the Bellevue No. 1 well extinguished itself. Well control operations are still necessary and well control specialists, Boots & Coots IWC, are continuing with procedures to install a diverter valve assembly to direct the flow to two burn pits. The well control team expects to divert the flow by Friday, Dec. 11, 1998. Subsequent to diversion, the liquid hydrocarbons will be recovered in a surface containment facility and gas volumes will be flared. MM
