Drew, Kemble, Pat and Michael(wherever you are /).My compliments in hanging in there with Dell thru thick and thin.A bit thin at the moment as its been almost a month(sob), since Dell hit a new high. Kemble by all means, get that scanner. I think Dell has them on their Web site. I happen to use a Paperport 6000 <$200, very easy to install as it comes with a C/D. Storing pictures on a Web site so you can show them here is a bit more complicated but many people can help with that if you ask them. The result (example below)is why I have so much faith in the future of the Web and the personal computer. For example you mentioned that Drew has a place on a hill, and I know he runs marathons so would like to see some pictures of those things. And your barbeques, etc. You can send those http's via PM, or E-mail, or put them on the web like this. And photos of the new Dell parties/outings in Fl ,Wash, and Calif would be of interest here. So here is one photo as I am at the start of the Long Beach marathon a few years ago (yellow t-shirt), talking to an LA radio announcer. He didn't know I was only going to jog for 6 miles Hahaha. ticnet.com With this capability, no %$^&$# negative-talking bear is going to convince me that the game is over, the last P/C has been sold, and we are all going to use set-top boxes. And all this data( about 178k per photo), will be stored on a disk somewhere on the Web, calling for the the mass storage units built by (we hope), Dell. Go Dell...( and bit of GTW for Drew)G Sig |
