I guess I'm just a little late. I was thinking about e.commerce and trying to figure out who would win and who would lose. In my view the biggest winners will be shippers and extremely efficient mass distribution centers. Traditional catalogues and stores and retail space landlords will be the losers. E.commerce is so price competitive I find it hard to believe that the e.commerce retailers will ever do really well. I see virtual warehouses trying to outbid each other for who can take orders for the least amount with all of them getting product from the same distributors.
