Mark,
I believe I said right in front of my post, that people surely have the freedom of choice and can't be forced. And in the context of a parable people certainly can be plants, or crops, or sheep.
If someone doesnt want to be watered or transplanted, we must honor their decision.
Jesus knew very well there would be those who will not accept Him and God's Word. However, honor? A Christian does not see much honor in losing a soul. If you look at those who preach the Good News, do you see the passion? Have you ever watched some of these book review type programs on tv? I have noticed that if an author really thinks he has written a good book, then the passion about that is very evident in his own review. Same with the Good News. I, as a Christian certainly believe that rejection of Jesus as the Way to the Father, will be spiritual eternal darkness, because that is the opposite of my Father, Who is Light.
Freedom of choice to go that route? Yes, Mark you have that. I cannot stop you from choosing that. But I see no honor in it.
