Schwab only gives out IPO shares to Schwab 500 customers. If you're not a Schwab 500 customer, no matter how much you request, you will get nothing.

Once the Schwab 500 customers are in with their orders, Charles Schwab will consider your request based on several factors:

1) how good of a customer you are?

2) how much do you trade with them?

3) how much commission do they generate off you?

4) how much money are there in your account?

5) have you traded your IPO within the 30 day period?

I have never participated in their IPO offering because even though I have been a customer with Schwab for a long time, they never told about the IPO offering. I had to find out through word of mouth.

I trade extensively with Schwab and since this is my first IPO, I would be damn pissed if they don't come through with some meaningful shares with me.
