Nancy,
In your continuing days of both mourning and rejoicing about the passing of your father, I found something today while I was reading. In the 23 Psalm, read verse 4
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
You and Alan and your father walked through the valley of the shadow of death all together, notice it does not say you stopped there. What I read and I agree with is this. You have walked this path with your father, now you and Alan walk on, on this earth, to continue to give glory to the Father, while your father walks on also. He did not stop in the valley either, for his Savior has conquered death, so now your father is past that valley of the shadow of death, on into perfect light for eternity.
So while the walk was painful it lead to what?
v 6.....and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
A walk of all walks. Praise God.
