The "BIG NEWS" release was the business to business internet commerce site for retailers which was discussed during the interview. If you haven't read about it check out:

biz.yahoo.com

I got in at 9 on Monday purely as an Internet IPO play. For those of us who cannot get IPO shares, you have to find the parent companies taking internet subs public, like USAI and MALL.

NAVR had been trying to go public since July, the conditions could not possibly be any better than now for internet IPO's and the CEO was planning to be in NY on Wed (today) and would be appearing on CNBC. I put these three factors together and hoped that this would be their big week.

I was disappointed big time this morning. No mention of the IPO by EP, other than to distance himself from suggestions he had said earlier that NetRadio would be a spinoff. Not even a mention of getting a dealer on side to advise them regarding a new issue!

He basically admitted that NAVR sells to stores and therefore to grow their business he was rooting for traditional retail models over the e-tail model which is what is causing all these stocks to rise (he babbled on about how retailers are making their stores more exciting, entertaining, social gatherings etc.). He also all but admitted that NetRadio was not ready for prime time yet, when Hains mentioned that he kept getting cut off when he tried NetRadio in preparation for the interview (I had the same problem when I tried it for the first time yesterday - I was not impressed at all).

I bailed as soon as the market opened. I expected a 2 point loss but was surprised with a 3 point gain. I guess there was a lot of interest early simply because CNBC said it would be one of the most active (they were right, but they didn't speculate up or down).

I didn't hear the comment - apparently made during a commercial break - that the IPO would proceed "within 60 days". That's forever as far as I am concerned and there must be major problems if it is going to take them so long - the market is ripe today and there is no excuse to miss it!! I am going to look elsewhere for profits (I don't short, at least not so far).

Good luck to all. Let me know if you find another stock that is actually ready to take an Internet sub to market.
