SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Infoseek Corporation SEEK today announced that Les Wright will assume the dual role of the company's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Remo Canessa recently held the position of CFO, a position held previously by Mr. Wright. There are no plans to recruit a new CFO. Mr. Wright joined Infoseek as the company's Chief Financial Officer in August of 1997. He was promoted to COO one year later. He arrived at Infoseek after working with a number of fast-growing technology companies. Most recently, Mr. Wright served as the CFO and CCO of Fractal Design Corporation, which he helped to take public. He has also held senior financial positions at the ASK Group, Inc., Trilogy Limited, Amdahl Corporation, and Arthur Andersen.
