Joe, we are on cutting edge... I think more than crazy. I think that's why we bought in so early. Or did we buy in so early because we are crazy? Ok you got me.

I'm on owning my third digital camera and with this one I got rid of my 35mm standard camera. I upgraded as the technology changed and got affordable. I love it, no film, no developing it is great and instant photos. I can output out the pics to tv if at a friends house. Like you said they do take up space, especially if you shoot high resolution (640x480 and higher). I have been buying cameras that were second or third generation as they were cheap. I knew more features would be added and figured why spend $1000 and feel bad in 3 months.
My first camera was $100, then I bought one for $150 and this current one is $200 (at the time I bought it was selling for $400, but I got a deal on the net)

The flash cards them selves hold quite a bit of photos, and flash card prices have dropped. The thing like you said is if you save your photos and why take them if you don't, you can have quite a collection in a relatively short time on your hard drive.

I just added a 10 gig drive from Maxtor and my Nephew got a 16.8 meg drive from IBM.

Have you seen the Star Wars Rogue Squadron commercial for the Nintendo 64 on TV? Well the PC version using one of the new video cards is at least twice as good if not more in picture quality than what you see in that commercial, really incredible. And the sound is awesome too, you feel like you are in an x-wing!
